Outback Jack's Bean/Barley Soup Mix Preparation
Here's all you do: In a large pot add 1 (15oz) can beef broth, 4 cups water, a 15oz can of drained white beans, a 15oz can of drained mixed vegetables (or 12oz frozen mixed vegetables), and a 15oz can of tomato sauce (or diced tomatos). Whisk in soup mix and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for 40 minutes. Let cool to thicken for 15 minutes.
Make it "heartier" by adding 8oz sauteed ground beef or turkey.
Make it spicier by adding a touch of our HURCHA seasoning (see on this site)
