Strawberry Tree Farms was created in 1995 by gourmet food enthusiasts, Phil Follins and his wife Flossie Follins, who at the time had a gift shop named The Strawberry Tree. By adding the word “Farms” they came up with the name of their new business.
They originally started out with just seasonings, all SALT FREE, that Flossie developed and gave names to in their kitchen at home. Gradually she developed more seasonings, some with a little salt. The result was a line of seasonings that helps home meal preparers easily vary taste and add variety to existing family favorites.
Phil and Flossie enjoyed great success selling their seasonings at craft fairs, state fairs and other events all around the country. They noticed that the few vendors selling soups were selling a lot of soup. They also noticed that most of the soup was not nearly as good as the soup Phil made at home for their personal use.
So Phil then started in earnest to create soup products for people who would appreciate making high quality soups without having to spend a lot of money. Phil and Flossie developed unique ingredient combinations that could be used in home kitchens as either stand alone or as a base for creating delicious family favorites.
At events Phil and Flossie would cook soups and prepare seasoning samples on site. The aroma attracted large numbers of samplers and the tasting hooked them for life. At their booth people could taste and not have to guess what was in the containers. They knew they were purchasing products that were easy to use and trustworthy.
Throughout all these years Strawberry Tree Farms has been diligent in ingredient selection and formulation to assure that you will receive the most delicious and highest quality soups and seasonings available. Count on it
After all these years later many of those first time samplers, and now their children are still ordering GoGo Garlic, Louisiana Market Chowder and other of their own personal favorites.
